Optiswiss Officially Awarded CSR Label

For over 20 years, Optiswiss has been dedicated to responsible and more sustainable lens production. Now, Optiswiss has been recognized for its continuous commitment by receiving two CSR labels.

At our production facility in Basel, we reduce our CO₂ footprint through a new procurement policy and structured material reserves. We also focus on improving the energy efficiency of our company and manufacturing processes. For instance, we use the waste heat from coating units to produce hot water and heat our buildings, saving both water and energy. Since the beginning of 2024, we have been using 100% renewable energy from Swiss sources for lens production.

Beyond environmental protection, people are also at the heart of our commitment. The well-being and equality of our employees are firmly embedded in our company philosophy.

Optiswiss has now been awarded both the “RSE-Engagé” (CSR-Engaged) label and the “Responsibility Europe” label (status “Confirmed” with two out of three stars).

For its continuous commitment to social and environmental responsibility, Optiswiss received these awards following an official audit and evaluation in October 2024.
