In close collaboration with our hosting providers, data is protected using all available means against illicit or unauthorised use, misuse, or falsification, and is always treated as confidential.
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption (SSL) via HTTPS.
4. Description and scope of data processing.
When you visit our website, information transmitted by your browser is automatically stored in our server log files and/or those of our hosting providers. This information is as follows :

- operating system used
- referrer URL (i.e. the page consulted just before)
- host name of the computer used (IP address)
- time and date of server request
This usage data forms the basis for anonymous statistical evaluations which enable us to identify trends and improve our services accordingly. This anonymous data is stored separately from any personal data you may have provided and in this form cannot be traced back to a specific person. However, we reserve the right to check the log data later if there are concrete indications that it is being used unlawfully.

To fulfil your requests or contracts, we need your personal data for the following services:
5.1 Registration for the Optiswiss online shop
To be able to register in our Optiswiss online shop, you must enter certain personal data (as indicated in the relevant form). We use this data, together with other data entered voluntarily, to process the creation of and access to your customer account. This processing is based on contractual measures (Art. 6.1 b) GDPR).
5.2 Order and payment Information
For orders placed in our online shop, we collect and process the following personal data so that we can offer our customers the best possible service and the corresponding services required:

- email address
- item basket information
- payment details
- user behaviour
- customer account information
- customer service information
- information useful for the order (e.g. corrections etc.)
This processing is based on contractual measures (art. 6.1 b) GDPR).

You can use a form to contact us. To do so, you will need to enter certain personal details (indicated on the relevant form).
We use this information and any other information you provide voluntarily (such as your title, address, telephone number or company name) only to provide you with the best possible personalised response to your contact request.

5.4 Application form
Certain personal data is essential for completing the application form (indicated on the form concerned).
We use this data and any other data you provide voluntarily to respond to your application in the best possible and most personalised way. If your application leads to the conclusion of a contract of employment, the data you have provided may be stored in your personal files for the purposes of the usual organisational and management processes in accordance with legal provisions.
This processing is based on pre-contractual measures (art. 6.1 b) GDPR).
6. Recipients and transmission of personal data to third parties
The recipients of your personal data are the internal departments of Optiswiss and its subcontractors in the context of their tasks.
Optiswiss reserves the right to pass on personal data to authorised third parties to comply with its legal obligations, and in particular if it is required to do so by a court order. Disclosure to third parties is authorised in the following cases:
- Legal protection of users.
- Compliance with legal requirements.
- Defending and protecting our rights.
- Compliance with the conditions of use or data protection provisions.
- Solving technical problems relating to a product.
- Cooperation with service partners who require this data to process the order. In this case, data transmission is limited to the minimum required to process the order. Your credit card details will be passed on to the relevant organisation as part of the contract processing for chargeable products.
- Collaboration with service partners who help us to analyse certain technical data and for data processing and/or back-up functions.
We work with a limited number of carefully selected, trusted external service partners. Data is only disclosed to these service partners to the extent necessary for them to provide the services offered. Optiswiss requires all its partners to process personal data in accordance with the Personal data protection and Cookie policy.

Cookies make it easier to use the website and guarantee a correct presentation and user-friendly service. Our website sometimes contains links to external sites (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). These sites may install cookies. 9. Newsletter
Optiswiss processes your data to manage your newsletter subscription. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the hyperlink included in each mailing. This processing is based on your consent (art. 6.1 a) GDPR).
This website uses the services of Campaign Monitor to send out newsletters (www.campaignmonitor.com). Campaign Monitor's data protection provisions can be found at www.campaignmonitor.com/privacy.
Campaign Monitor is used based on a data processing agreement according to article 28 para. 3 p. 1 GDPR.
Campaign Monitor may use recipients' data in anonymised form, i.e., without attributing it to a user, to optimise or improve its own services, e.g., for technical optimisation of newsletter delivery and presentation or for statistical purposes. Campaign Monitor does not, however, use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them or to pass it on to third parties.
If you do not want Campaign Monitor to carry out analyses, you can unsubscribe when you receive the newsletter. We provide a link each time we send you a newsletter.
10. User rights
Based on your rights under the EU GDPR and the FADP, you have the right to request from the controller access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, as well as the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on legitimate grounds and the right to the portability of your data.
Finally, you have the right to define general and specific directives setting out how you wish these rights to be exercised after your death.
If, after contacting us, you feel that your rights about your personal data have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

11. Retention of personal data
Optiswiss AG will retain your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this data protection policy, for the fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations. If necessary, we will also retain your personal data for other purposes if or for as long as the law allows us to continue to retain it for a specific purpose, including the defence of legal claims. Generally, this will be for the duration of the business relationship and then for a period of 10 (ten) years for intermediate storage for evidential purposes.
